 COLDThey don’t call it the “common” cold for no reason!  Most adults will get an average of two to three colds per year, and children will have even more.  Though you can catch a cold at any time in the year, they are most common in the winter months. Colds spread very easy through coughing and sneezing, and you are considered most contagious during the first few days. Signs of a cold include:

In the event your symptoms continue after 7-10 days, or have become unmanageable, please visit the closest Xpress Urgent Care for diagnosis and possible treatment.  Our providers will take their time to make you as comfortable as possible and do what we can to prevent or treat any secondary infection that may require prescription medication.  FLUWhile the “common” cold and flu symptoms can be similar, flu symptoms tend to develop suddenly and are more severe.  The best way to truly determine if you have the flu is to visit an Xpress Urgent Care location and receive a flu test as soon as possible.  All locations have the ability to test for flu type A and type B, as well as test for the COVID-19 virus to be able to provide an accurate diagnosis. Antibiotics are only effective in treating bacterial infections as viral infections do not respond to antibiotics.  Our providers will offer medical advice to help deal with symptoms.  The best way to avoid the flu is through prevention and receiving your annual flu vaccine.  The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older receive the annual flu vaccine, excluding those who have a severe allergy to the vaccine or any of the ingredients.  Flu Symptoms may include:
